Our journey starts in a small town in Le Marche, Italy, in the late 1950s.Many things have happened since then, and yet, our company still bears the name and the genes of its founder. The familial bond is alive and as strong as it used to be, and today it includes all those who work with us.

Ideas, development, customization, and sales: we navigate the wide universe of hot and cold drinks for the most prestigious clubs, restaurants, hotels, and cafes in Italy.

When it all began

Italy is in the midst of an economic boom. Widespread confidence drives Mrs Elide to start a confectionery business to make the most diverse pastries. The “jollini”, small and soft leavened cakes covered in sugar granules, stood out among the pastries that were sold to coffee shops.

The first change

Together with her husband Silio, Elide decides to found a company, Antonelli, to provide local coffee shops with sweets. A new journey has just begun: the very first step that will contribute to make Antonelli as we know it today.

The “Caffè del Nonno”

Simone and Sandro develop a new recipe that diverges from traditional coffee products: the search for a cold alternative to classic lemon sherbet leads to the creation of a coffee-flavored cream made from a semi-processed base conceived within the company, which still remains top-secret. The Caffè del Nonno (grandpa’s coffee) has been born. The idea provs to be a success. The world of restaurants and coffee shops quickly embraces this original product, which spreads from beach resorts to restaurants, and from Le Marche to the most outstanding clubs in Italy. It’s a game-changer for the entire industry.
